Moroccan Dirham Due to its location on the Mediterranean Sea, especially thanks to the Strait of Gibraltar, Morocco has a rich historical heritage, which can be seen in many impressive buildings. They are one of the reasons for the great importance of tourism in Morocco. This is reflected in the design on the reverse of the 20 Santimat coin of this 2002 complete coin set. The others depict a hibiscus flower, stylized sportsmen, a satellite and the national coat of arms. The obverses of the coins feature either also the national coat of arms or a portrait of King Mohammed VI.
