DESCRIPTION
The 10 Rappen coin of this complete set of the Swiss Franc is the oldest coin in the world still valid today. It has been minted since 1879 with unchanged motif and the same alloy. Just like the 5 and 20 Rappen coins, it depicts the Roman goddess of liberty Libertas. The obverses of the other coins show the Swiss cross, the national personification Helvetia and an alpine herdsman, who is also interpreted as the freedom fighter William Tell.
