First and complete coin set of the Second Zambian Kwacha One of the main characteristics of Zambia’s nature is the gigantic Zambezi River. It is the largest east- flowing river in Africa and is especially famous for the huge Victoria Falls in the south of the country. The Zambezi catchment area is the habitat of numerous animal species. This complete coin set of the Zambian Kwacha is dedicated to some of them. It is the first set of the Second Zambian Kwacha. The obverses are adorned with the national coat of arms. The reverses feature a Zambezi indigobird, a common eland antelope, an African elephant, and a Chaplin’s barbet, which is also called Zambian barbet for it is Zambia’s only endemic bird. – Coins from the land of Victoria Falls – The unique wildlife of Zambia – Kwacha means “dawn”
