DESCRIPTION
Front: Adela (1865-1902) and Celsa (1868-1938) Speratti at right. The two sisters were 19th century educators and were instrumental in the creation of the Normal School of Professors of Paraguay (“Escuela Normal de Profesoras del Paraguay”), which was one of the first higher learning institutions founded in Paraguay.
