DESCRIPTION
Front: The coat of arms of Papua New Guinea at center left, with the dominant feature of a bird of paradise. The female bird of paradise handles nest building, incubation of one or two eggs, and raising the young; the males are polygamous. Back: A boar’s head, the toea arm band from the Central Province, a cowrie shell necklace from the Madang area, and a shell ornament from the Western Province.
