DESCRIPTION
Complete coin set of the Nicaraguan Córdoba Oro Nicaragua’s national coat of arms is bursting with symbolism. The Phrygian cap originates from the French Revolution and is a common symbol of freedom in Latin America. The five volcanoes below it represent the states of the former Federal Republic of Central America. They are depicted between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The rainbow above is a symbol of peace.
