Central African States 8 coin set (2006)

African CFA Franc After the end of the colonial era, the Central African States gradually entered into ever closer ties, including the use of a common currency. This is the second set of the CFA Franc of the Central African States, which was already introduced in 1945. A special feature of the set is the latent image on the reverse of the 500 Francs coin. Depending on the angle of view, it shows either the initials of the economic union “CEMAC” (Communauté Économique et Monétaire de l’Afrique Centrale) or the denomination.
