DESCRIPTION
Front: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. Carnivorous pitcher plant at left. Back: Rainforest floor. Almost no plants grow in this region of deep shade and 100% humidity. The floor is covered with rapidly decomposing vegetation and organisms that break down into usable nutrients.
