Bangladesh 7 coin set (1974-2013)

Bengal tiger Mujibur Rahman (1920–1975) led Bangladesh to independence from Pakistan in 1971. He is therefore considered the “father of the nation” and was the first president and then prime minister of Bangladesh. His portrait is depicted on the reverses of the 1, 2 and 5 Taka coins of this set. The reverses of the Poisha coins show ornaments, symbols of agriculture, a stylized family and a Bengal tiger – the national animal of Bangladesh.
