This was the world’s first circulating polymer banknote with a clear window. Issued to commemorate 200 years of Australian settlement. Front: The ship, “Supply,” which established a settlement at Sydney Cove in 1788. Back: An aboriginal youth wearing body paint and a morning star pole, used by the aboriginal people on ceremonial occasions. Aboriginal paintings in the background.
