First Eastern Caribbean States set of uniform round coins The famous privateer Sir Francis Drake was the first Englishman to circumnavigate the world between 1577 and 1580. His flagship during this historic voyage was the galleon “Golden Hind”. She is featured on three of the reverses of this complete set of the Eastern Caribbean Dollar. The remaining three show palm branches. All obverses depict a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
